Ohhhhhh the things I want to say! We're learning and experiencing so much every day of our journey but I find myself struggling. The initial point of this blog was to keep friends and family in the loop of our travels. The past few weeks I've realized this can not only be a way to keep people updated, but also a way to touch hearts with people near and far; to give an idea of what works for us (and what doesn't!) in our life on the road; and to reflect on our day-to-day interactions with others - And each other!
My posts have been limited because I simply couldn't figure out my 'why'. I don't want to post random accounts of listing what we did each day...but I do want to let people know what kind of adventures we find ourselves on. I want to give people something they can relate to, get joy from, and want to come back to. I've been trying to figure out a singular theme, but quickly realized, that isn't very realistic. We're not only eating at great restaurants, or only finding unique backroad stops, or only meeting new and interesting people, or only living full-time in an RV...we're doing ALL of that! Oh, we're having lots of down time that is completely boring too...seriously...I don't want to fool people into thinking we're doing amazing things all the time. This life on the road is a lot like "normal" life - some big, kick booty, things scattered between the quiet, but necessary, day-to-day low key moments.
Rather than limiting myself to a single theme, I will instead hold my posts to a level of relevance. I will post about our travels in such a way that you may get something out of them. Whether it's a smile or a lesson to walk away with; a laugh or an 'oh-girl-I-thought-I-was-the-only-one' connection; or a great restaurant recommendation for you to try - as long as there is something for you in this project of mine, that will be my 'why'. I will continue to find and strengthen my voice, and hope that y'all stick around for the process!
